Masaru Emoto was born in Yokohama in July 1943. He graduated from the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences Jokohamské urban university, focusing on international relations.

Currently heads the IHM General Research Institute (H. I. M. General Research Institute) and is president emeritus of the international nonprofit organization Foundation Water for Life (International Water for Life Foundation).

As therapist used in his sessions with clusters of microscopic water particles and analysis using magnetic resonance imaging (Magnetic Resonance Analyzer, MRA). When MRA is inserted into the water some information in the form HADO (Which in Czech means "vibrations").
